Does it hurt?
No. The word ‘acid’ often worries people unnecessarily. During the peel you will experience mild prickly, tingling sensation whilst the glycolic acid is applied to your skin. FMH’s Glycolic Peel is very much like a normal facial, only with far better, visible results.

Are there any side effects and is there any downtime?
You will experience a mild prickling sensation during treatments. Treatment may make the skin slightly red for a short time, this is often more obvious in those with fair skin. After 2-3 days you may notice some skin flaking (not very visible to the eyes) as the treatment makes the dead cells slough off. This is normal and is not obvious.
